A museum where you can enjoy architecture by Shigeru Ban

--Seeing art within art. The museum will open in March 2023 in Harumi, Otake City, southwest of Hiroshima Prefecture, overlooking Miyajima. It is located about 30 minutes from Miyajima and about 45 minutes from Hiroshima city. The museum also features architecture designed by world-renowned architect Shigeru Ban. You can enjoy a moment of architecture and art, including the "movable exhibition room" lined with colorful water basins, the "Emile Gallé Garden" where seasonal flowers sway in the breeze, and the "Boyo Terrace" where you can see the beauty of the Seto Inland Sea islands. The museum houses about 500 pieces of art and crafts collected over half a century by Yumiko Shimose, CEO of Marui Sangyo Co., Ltd., a comprehensive manufacturer of building materials headquartered in Hiroshima City, and her parents.
