Tanohara Observation Deck

The view from the observation deck at the top of the mountain is spectacular! Below you can see the Eno River flowing leisurely through the mountains of the Chugoku Mountains. From autumn to winter, a sea of clouds spreads across the area, and you can see Mt. Sanbe in the distance. Also, on days when a particularly large sea of clouds appears, you can see a rare phenomenon called "Ryogoku oroshi," where the sea of clouds flows vigorously down from the direction of Miyoshi City in Hiroshima Prefecture.
