Let's camp under a starry sky like a natural planetarium in the dark without artificial lights!

Koita Makiba no Sato is a small handmade campsite with 11 sections located on the edge of a small mountain village on a plateau in the Chugoku Mountains at an altitude of 780 meters. The campsite is tens of kilometers away from a large town, and there are no street lights or lights from private houses around it. All of the lights inside the campsite are equipped with motion sensors, so the only light inside the campsite is from lanterns and the flames of the bonfire. On nights when you can see the stars, you can enjoy camping under a sky so full of stars that you can even see the Milky Way in the summer and the hands and head of Orion in the winter from your tent site. Stargazing parties held at night when the sky is full of stars are very popular. Like a planetarium, the staff points out the starry sky and explains the names of constellations, myths related to the constellations, the Milky Way, and shooting stars.
