In the precincts, there are three waterfalls that are the origin of the name Mitaki-ji. Mitaki-ji Temple, also known as Mitaki Kannon, is surrounded by nature in all four seasons, and has a deep atmosphere of deep mountains and valleys. The autumn foliage is especially beautiful, and it is one of Hiroshima's famous sights. There are many wooden buildings that were completed from the end of the Edo period to the beginning of the Meiji period, and the valley is dotted with the Soshin Kannondo, the bell tower, the Inari Shrine, the Sanki Gongendo, and the Chinjudo. In the precincts, there is a Tahoto pagoda, which is an important cultural property of the prefecture, and a wooden sitting statue of Amida Nyorai, which is an important cultural property of the country, is enshrined in the hall.
