You can enjoy traditional fireworks collected from all over Japan, creative fireworks, and new fireworks. There will also be a wide variety of fireworks used, including large fireworks (10-inch balls) and special effect fireworks from overseas.
To ensure that even first-time firework viewers can enjoy the show, easy-to-understand explanations will be given at the fireworks display venue about the contents of the fireworks and how they are launched.
Enjoy a number of large "dream" fireworks synchronized with music, lighting up the summer night sky against the backdrop of the Seto Inland Sea, where the scent of the sea wafts through the air.
Date: Saturday, July 26, 2025
Event time (launch time): 20:00 to 21:00
This fireworks display will be one of the largest in Shikoku. Approximately 9,000 spectacular fireworks, including star mines launched from barges and underwater fireworks, will beautifully light up the summer night sky and the sea surface.

Event time (launch time): 8:00pm to 9:00pm (scheduled)
*If it rains, the event will be postponed to Sunday, August 3rd.
This fireworks festival focuses on "underwater fireworks," where fireworks are lit on the water and explode underwater. It has been decided that the underwater fireworks festival, which has been loved in Miyajima for many years, will be held in a new format. This year, SUPER EIGHT's Shingo Murakami, who has roots in Hiroshima, will be the official ambassador. As this year marks the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombing, the fireworks, which are filled with wishes for "prayers for peace," "the inheritance of the traditional culture of fireworks that are loved all over Japan," and "regional revitalization" in Hiroshima Prefecture, will light up the night sky of Miyajima with the great torii gate of the World Heritage site Itsukushima Shrine in the background, creating a spectacular sight that can't be seen anywhere else.
Date: Saturday, October 18, 2025
Fireworks are launched over the calm waters of the Seto Inland Sea, creating a fantastical scene of the night sky and sea. At the venue, the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force's First Technical School, commemorative ceremonies, review ceremonies, musical performances, and other events are held, allowing you to enjoy interactions with the Self-Defense Forces that you would not normally be able to experience.
It is easily accessible, about 20 minutes by high-speed boat from Hiroshima Port, making it the perfect opportunity to enjoy Etashima in the fall.
