Mandou Mitama Festival [Hiroshima Gokoku Shrine]

Since ancient times, Japan has had a custom of lighting a fire to comfort the souls of the dead.

At Hiroshima Gokoku-jinja Shrine, in order to honor the virtues of the enshrined deity enshrined as the guardian deity of peace and offer sincerity of gratitude, the “Mandou Mitama Festival” will be held with around 2000 lanterns dedicated by citizens of the prefecture raised in the precincts.
