From JR Hiroshima Station, take a streetcar and travel to Hatchobori while enjoying the scenery outside of the window. From the atomic bombed building “Fukuya Hatchobori Main Store,” you will walk through the Hondori shopping street and visit “Hiroshima Andersen” (former Hiroshima Branch of the Imperial Bank) and the “Former Hiroshima Branch of the Bank of Japan” (an important cultural property designated by Hiroshima City). The bakery shop Andersen originated in Hiroshima. In the middle of the city, you will arrive at the Atomic Bomb Dome, a World Heritage Site, while repeating such discoveries at the Historical Site Museum of Rai Sanyo Shiseki Museum, which is said to have greatly influenced the thought of the Bakumatsu Restoration.
