Sandankyo is a large canyon located in the Nishi-Chugoku-Sanchi Quasi-National Park, stretching for about 16 kilometers, where you can enjoy one of the most condensed beauty of the canyon in Western Japan. The museum was opened in this historically rich area, with the donation of an enormous collection of approximately 5,000 items from Yumoto Koichi, one of Japan's leading monster collectors.
